Kid did deserve an ass whipping but he didn’t deserve to die. In old America I would think this was a fight that went to far. In todays America maybe they did intend to kill him.

He, a white guy, "disrespected" three young black males. The penalty for such is death. They kill EACH OTHER for less, they would not let a white guy get away with it.

3 suspects charged with murder in death of Akron teen Ethan Liming

"The U.S. Marshals Service later announced brothers Deshawn Stafford Jr. and Tyler Stafford—20 and 19 years old, respectively—had been taken into custody along with their 21-year-old cousin Donovan Jones around 9:30 a.m. at separate locations, with the Akron Police Department assisting in the operation. The trio are currently being held on charges of murder and felonious assault, with Jones also accused of disrupting public service."

It can reliably be assumed that anyone named "Deshawn" is from ghetto culture.

It was already almost that bad when I was growing up in the East Boston area during the 1970s. You did not want to get on the bad side of gangs, punks or criminals, no matter what color or race.

I spent most of my high school years avoiding those types. If I was walking down the street and saw them approaching, I'd duck down a side street or alleyway to avoid them. If I was riding a bus, I'd stay on it and walk a few extra blocks if it didn't look safe getting off at the stop I wanted.

Even giving them the "wrong look" was enough to incite them. It just sucked being a kid in a bad neighborhood then as now. It was only out of an abundance of caution and self-survival that I live to write these words 40+ years later.

I feel bad that these kids learned this lesson the hard way.
