And Russian oil is not sanctioned. We and the EU and as many friends as we can gather have decided to boycott it (kinda).
We will not let western banking be used to buy Russian oil (mostly).
But Russian oil is not illegal or contraband.

This is all part of the brilliant Democrat plan to start in Biden’s words the “incredible transition” to a “carbonless economy”. The conflict in Ukraine is just a side show to keep the masses distracted.
Anybody who understand economics knows that unless production is increased, you’ll just end up with people selling oil from Russia in the black market or relabeled market.
You have to come up with alternative product because demand is not going to change otherwise and that demand will be satisfied by the market regardless of “sanctions”.
Your characterization is obviously accurate. After what Biden did in Afghanistan no one in the world really gives a rotting banana about what we ask them to do.

Why when we have all the oil around us that Biden will not us to be allowed to drill for? Why wben the oil he is buying is costing us a small fortune, is Biden refusing to allow drilling. That does nothing for the environment so why is he doing it? It sure looks like he is trying to destroy this country.
When it comes to India doing this, the U.S. still buying Russian oil, African nations buying whatever grain they say they want, etc, didn’t Biden say he supports every country having the right to self-determination?
Oh, look, the stupidity of the sanctions manifests in yet another predictable way.

India Govt owned refineries are selling in India. It is the private refineries, Reliance and Rosneft owned Nayara Energy that are raking in the profits by selling abroad, esp to Europe which has a diesel shortage.
Just look at where the Indians are being employed in THIS country!
