The left aren’t happy unless they have the steeple scared to death and self-loathing to,the point that they are willing to,spend all, their money to “fix” a problem thatnis entirely natural, and can’t be “fixed” (not, that it even needs fixing- co2 was over 1000 ppm I. The past, and life thrived just fine, yet we are to beleive that 425 ppm (or whatever it is nkw) is so dangerous that we will all burst into flames any minute nkw

butlerweave :" Naturally occurring methane is found both below ground and under the seafloor
and is formed by both geological and biological processes.
How do you make it pay ? LOL"

"About 30% of methane emissions are produced by wetlands, including ponds, lakes and rivers.
Another 20% is produced by agriculture, due to a combination of livestock, waste management and rice cultivation.
Activities related to oil, gas, and coal extraction release an additional 30%.
The remainder of methane emissions come from minor sources ..."

Thanks for posting this. NZ should not be a member of the 5 Eyes group set up after WWII to monitor mainly the ChiComs.

The only measurable result that may be the result of more CO2 in the atmosphere as seen by satellites is a greening of the planet that has taken place. In the past 30 years the Earth has increased its green leaf area by approximately 5 percent, which is roughly five and a half million square kilometers, an increase equivalent to the size of the entire Amazon rain forest.

CO2 is helpful to plant life as part of the photosynthesis process. So, this may have very well have something to do with it. Is more plant life beneficial or detrimental to the planet? It is certainly helpful to people and animals who are dependent on plant life for food.

Actually a burp tax. Cows release 80% or more of their methane via the mouth. The gas is generated in the last three chambers of the rumen the cows multi chambered stomach. There is little to no gas created in the intestines of the cow. Unlike monogastric animals that have acidic stomachs and anaerobic intestines such as pigs or humans. By the time the digestate leaves the rumen it’s primarily acetic acid, and bacteria proteins which what the cows actually “eats” it’s symbiotic relationship with it’s rumen microfauna has converted cellulose/hemicellulose to acetic acid, some remaining glucose and pentose plus all this a wonderful bacteria that make that possible. Yes as a matter of fact I am a scientist.

You are right the editors of this story called it a “fart tax” in the headline then amended it to say “burp and fart tax”

It is dependent on what system you use. I get it with Microsoft 10 and Google Chrome the translation prompt appears perhaps you use something else.

The Dutch rolled out their draconian plan yesterday and farmers are up in arms. It’s a 70 percent emissions cut plan unrealistic without the outright destruction of livestock.

Indeed, I do. So, being lazy, I went out and read the Hindustan Times article on it...

They start with livestock and once the livestock are eliminated you will eat something other than meat and if you pass gas after you eat that maybe they will tax it?
