Omicron has been around since October at least. Tweak the formula, should’ve had one ready to test by November at least. I guess maybe now they are assuming they need to look beyond a 6 month study?
On top of it, Omicron is just a cold. I had it a few weeks ago. No big deal. Few are going to the hospital. Even fewer are dying FROM Omicron.
We are no longer in an “emergency”.
The blowhards got discovered. They’ve been using fear tactics and confusion since the very beginning. We’ve never handled outbreaks like this before, so what changed? Oh I know. There was a very bad orange man at the helm, and he tweeted mean things, and put tariffs on China. Had to do what they could to get rid of him.
Plus, Anthony Fauci is the biggest whore of them all. How he is still at his job is beyond me.
Moderna is submitting the preliminary test results with expectation of having the omicron vaccine ready by late summer.
Anti-vaxxers are amazing.
First they complain that testing is too rushed.
Now, you’re complaining that testing is taking too long.
Second, you complain about the lack of an omicron booster.
Now, you’re complaining that such a booster isn’t required.
One begins to wonder if you’re just looking for excuses.
I’m not an anti vaxxer, but this is not like the old vaccines, and I don’t trust it. I was coerced into getting the first two doses, but I won’t be getting any boosters. I’d rather get CoVid every 4 months than get one of these EUA shots. The emergency is over. Let’s get on with life. No more mandates.
There is good news for people like yourself who are leery of the mRNA vaccines. Novavax has requested FDA approval for a traditional (non-mRNA) vaccine. Does that sound like something you would take?
If Omicron were worse I might. It was a common cold to me when I had it a few weeks ago. Felt yucky for a day, but that was it. I never stayed in bed. I treated it like every other cold I’ve ever had. So why do I need a shot for that? I don’t.
You would get the new vaccine/booster for the same reasons you would get any other vaccine, to increase herd immunity. Remember, small pox was eradicated because almost everyone was vaccinated.
Well I’ve already had omicron so I should be good for a few months. I don’t foresee getting an Omicron booster unless I am coerced. You can stop trying now. Have a blessed day and be well!
Oh, P.S. is the reason I get a Shingles vaccine to protect others or myself? Never heard that was for herd immunity. Pretty sure no one but my husband and myself give a damn whether or not I get shingles.
P.S. I’ve only gotten the flu vaccine once, and I got quite sick from that shot. Coincidentally, it is also the only time I got the flu, followed quickly by an opportunistic strep infection after finishing the flu. I guess I got the strain of flu they hadn’t planned for.
