Nope. Not uncommon. I had a relative who in the 1930s raised funds and arms for Israel. In the late 30s it changed. Those surplus and sportified Enfields were being sent home to England for the home guard. Probably along with Springfields. Europes wwI surplus returning thanks to our 2nd amendment.
