Meanwhile dick Morris comes out and says we need gun reform like they had in ny where noone was allowed to carry guns, and gun crimes fell “tremendously”. (The fact iof the matter is that stop and frisk was responsible for lowering the numbers, because it caught a lot of folks who were NOT allowed to,have guns, ie felons. Taking guns from law abiding g citizens had zero effect on lowering gun crimes. Law abiding citizens were not the ones shooting people- violent criminals were and zlways will be responsible, for,it, and disarming law abiding citizens only embolden armed criminals to attack more often knowing they won’t get any push back
Dick Morris, doing the work of the gun grabbing liberals while trying to sound like he is just suggesting “reasonable gun laws”
Haha!
I am encouraged by her awakening however late it may be.
” ...until Brian showed me, of how safely one can store a weapon responsibly; or of the many layers of prevention, from storing ammunition separately...”
Oh so you DON’T have useful firearms in your home.
A locked up gun and locked up ammunition elsewhere is as useful as tits on a bull.
A LOADED gun on your hip and/or one in your nightstand drawer is protection. Ones locked in a safe are not.
“...had positioned it above my computer on my writing desk (with a safety lock and no ammunition nearby, of course).”
So, a CLUB? A baseball bat or hammer would be better than a “locked” gun with no ammo.
She also wrote, “ The United States is at an awkward phase. It’s too late to fix the system and it’s too early to start shooting the bastards.
As long as those who wish to deprive us of freedom have guns, no.
There are countries all over the world who only have freedoms because those same U.S. citizens fought and died protecting them.
If you wanted to lose office, push gun control.
Then, several things changed.
Massive immigration made the Australian cities the political power centers of Australia.
George Soros dumped lots of money and talent (headed by Rebecca Peters) into promoting "gun control" in the Australian media, academia, and political leadership.
They set up everything to have the legislation ready when an opportunity would present itself.
Then they encouraged rampage shooting in the media (by making the shooters into celebrities).
The Port Arthur murderer aimed for a record because of media contagion.
A hoplophobic Prime Minister was in power, and pushed for maximum gun control, Now!
And Australia took a major turn toward totalitarianism...
“Reader, I married him.”
So, people have been wondering what happened to Naomi Wolf and now we know. She married a real man.
Even in that case, if they were all allowed to own guns, the criminal element would be driven back underground in those neighborhoods. It’s only the Democrat administrations in the cities refusing to allow ownership of firearms that keeps people living in fear of the criminals.
Agreed.
I have a passel of LibTard nieces and nephews... and how that happened I don’t have the foggiest notion. Their parents are all right of center to hard core conservative. However, as they age some, they are becoming more conservative.
There is some truth to the old saw “If you are under 35 and not a liberal, you have no heart; if you’re over 35 and not a conservative, you have no brain”.
Funny... but bad advice. In event of a successful defense using a handgun, do not speak with police without a lawyer present. Think about the “Rules to Fight Club”.
and I was carefully taught to fire a pistol against a deserted hillside in the Pacific Northwest.
So, just where is this sacred deserted hillside?
Deserted means once occupied (you students of the English language).
Occupied by whom?
I suspect somewhere near Seattle. Nob Hill?
No, because the guns aren’t the problem.
Human nature is the problem.
“Both oligarch and tyrant mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms.” - Aristotle
“Doctors have been caught using poisons, and those who falsely assume the name of philosopher have occasionally been detected in the gravest crimes. Let us give up eating, it often makes us ill; let us never go inside houses, for sometimes they collapse on their occupants; let never a sword be forged for a soldier, since it might be used by a robber.” - ancient Roman educator Marcus Fabius Quintilian, Institutio Oratoria, II, xvi (first century AD).
“Rome remained free for four hundred years and Sparta eight hundred, although their citizens were armed all that time; but many other states that have been disarmed have lost their liberties in less than forty years.”- 16th century Italian political theorist Nicollo Machiavelli (1469-1527)
It seems to me that mankinds greatest lesson from history, is that we never learn from history...
Until it’s far too late.
Yes, Naomi Freaking Wolf wrote this...
No, the problem is those in Power who want to control [enslave] us.
