At least he did it outdoors. You do it in your home, and it contaminates it with bad vibes. Makes it very hard for your family to live in that house or to sell it.....

On a scale of 1-10, how surprised would you be to find out that it was he who did it, but he was murdered by someone else instead to make it appear like it was a suicide?

Years ago, as a Realtor I represented a widow whose husband killed himself outside of the house. He left her with a mountain of unplayable debt but did have the decency to not stigmatize the house, which gave her a small amount of equity. He went for his morning jog, came home and shot himself in the backyard.
