Commander of the Russian Federation’s twenty ninth Army, Lieutenant General Roman Berdnikov.
Commander of the Russian Federation’s twenty ninth Army, June 6th, unconfirmed reports state top Russian officer, Lieutenant General Roman Berdnikov commander of the 29th Army, serving as Second-in-command of the 1st Army Corps, Donetsk People's Militia was killed in Ukraine this morning in Severodonetsk, Luhansk, Ukraine. He now is the most recent death of highest-ranking Russian generals.
Russian state television confirms that Major-General Roman Kutuzov was killed in eastern Ukraine June 5th, reports the Reuters news agency. The report did not provide more details and the Russian army did comment.
These senior commanders were killed during heavy fighting in eastern Ukraine, where Russian forces have been stepping up assaults on the key city Sievierodonetsk, in the Donbas region.
These two are the most recent Russian generals killed in Ukraine, reports say, adding to the string of senior military casualties suffered by the Kremlin.
Russia officially lists military deaths as state secrets even in times of peace and has not updated its official casualty figures in Ukraine since March 25, when it said that 1351 Russian soldiers had been killed since the start of the Ukraine invasion on February 24.
The UK Ministry of Defense said that Russia appeared to have suffered SIGNIFICANT LOSSES amongst mid-level and junior-ranking officers in Ukraine.
Most of this is quoting Russian sources. So is the DM as bad as RT? Maybe, then, this is actually true?
The circumstances stated in the article, from the Russian account, imply that this wasnt targeted, just circumstantial. A major-general took it upon himself to personally lead an attack, for whatever reason, though it is implied that those two brigades (and by further implication also their officers) were reluctant to advance. He died as a courageous man, doing his duty in rallying his men.
If he had died behind the lines in a drone attack or by a precision guided weapon, then it is plausible that it happened through signal or other technological intelligence.
Then it follows that the “west” has always been well advised to treat Russia as an enemy, or at least as a vastly untrustworthy entity. A lot of people and leaders in the west forgot that over the years.
As far as odium goes, now it is also flowing in vast gales in the other direction.
Er, they are having great difficulties in this “enforcement”.
And they have made (or re-made) vast swathes of new enemies with this foolishness.
The long term is terrible for Russia. Russia is, in the big picture, facing overwhelming odds, in all categories of power.
And it is simply stupid. They can stop all this by just stopping.
The world will then let them peacefully stew in their own poisonous psychological/social stew all they want. They can live their paranoid fantasies without interference.
US weapons over 8 years fired into Donbass? Which ones?
Please list these munitions.
I form my opinions on the basis of Spanish bullfighting and old Filipino black and white movies. I seem, however, to come to similar conclusions in re Russia.
You are another individual who will have a very difficult time adjusting to reality.
You are, I note, unresponsive to rebuttals in re your various claims. One is quite specific and you should be able to answer it right off, if you were sure in your assertions.
What US munitions were fired into the Donbass over the previous 8 years? It should be really easy to answer if you are correct.
Eight year chronicle of Ukrainians shelling Donetsk.

Scroll down to US and you will see it leads the charge in arming Ukraine, by a mile and has for a long time. This is irrefutable.

You are wiggling away from my question, because you cant answer it. The first time the US provided weapons to Ukraine was in 2018, approved by President Trump. And that was Javelin missiles, not any sort of artillery. And the US has not provided anything but such defensive weapons until the current admin gave Ukraine those hundred M777’s two months ago.
You are a victim of Russian propaganda. It seems you have been misinformed in several ways.
