A group of members of the House Freedom Caucus will meet with former President Trump at his Bedminster, N.J., golf club next week.
The group of Republicans, known for its confrontational tactics and willingness to criticize House GOP leadership, will “discuss its continued efforts to defeat the Democrats’ radical socialist agenda, and advance conservative America First policies,” House Freedom Caucus spokesperson Melissa Braid said in a statement.
Freedom Caucus Chairman Scott Perry (R-Pa.) will attend, his office confirmed. Politico, which first reported the meeting that is expected on Tuesday, said Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.), Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.) and Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), the former caucus chairman, are also set to be there. Those offices did not respond to requests for comment.
The members will huddle with the former president just days before the House committee investigating the Jann. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol holds its first public meeting on Thursday evening.
Several Freedom Caucus members have come under scrutiny by the Jan. 6 committee, which issued subpoenas last month to Perry, Biggs, and Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Mo Brooks (R-Ala.). In a letter this week, the committee extended the deadline for Jordan to comply to June 11.

I think you are right. The Dems hate Trump so much they are willing to bring down the whole country just to get him and his supporters. What is worse is the Repubs that are enabling them to do this.
2023. Imagine Trump running the country from Florida. Then there’s the 2024 Senate races. Could Tester, Sherrod Brown, Casey, Mancin, see the writing on the wall?
It starts with 2022. 4 senate pickups. ‘Steal’ a 5th one from a blue state and the rush is on. Under those circumstances Trump might be better off not running again. He’d be so effective outside D.C. and everyone would be following him. It would be easier to keep the RINO’s in check from Florida. With I’m running the party(and country) as an outsider he’s be like a red herring to the rats, always bring up an enemy who isn’t there. At his age he doesn’t need the daily grind, just being a heckler from the peanut gallery-very entertaining.

I’m with you on this. I think President Trump would be much more effective from behind the scenes. I would vote for him if he runs but I’d rather have him behind the candidate and rallying for that person.

I don’t think he’ll be able to turn around suburban women simply because of the abortion issue. Look at how many GOP women were willing to strip in front of Obama and BJ. Do we drop the nukes like we did with Japan or let our enemies save a little face like Germany? A pro-life DeSantis would win more women voters over than a pro-life Trump. It’s all in the style.
Ah yes. The abortion issue. That’s where we come in-an opportunity we can’t waste. Ive need a national registry of couples willing to adopt. Gotta be jump-started by a billionaire making it high-profile. The adopted families have to outnumber the #of abortions performed. Show them there’s an alternative. Then there’s the available ‘helpers’ army-people like me. Available to take the pregnant teenager to the doctors appointment. Sit in for an hour or two while the young mother does her grocery shopping. It’s in our hearts to change minds. Time to step up. Is it in the works anywhere?
what will turn around suburban women will be that their daughters are forced to go to the bathroom with boys. the government is now mandating that for any school to participate in school lunch programs — they have to allow boys to go to girls bathrooms.
trump doesn’t have to do anything. in fact, he can’t do anything about it. desperate people do desperate things. it will only be desperation that gets soccer moms to vote republican. they’re going to get it.
biden will get everything wrong. that’s what he’s been known for ... for decades.
