Well, the only way I found out was because after the frenzy of the holidays, and I hadn’t heard from her in over a month, I started Googling.
Since I knew her real name and enough personal details, it was easy for me to find an Obit. Absent that, there’s no real way any Admin would know.
We all have “friends” here. But if we don’t share details, personal information to someone here (as is the case in this instance) how would any of us ever expect to know?
I contend one of the best ways it to have a home page you are comfortable with, and a trusted relative that knows where you spend some time and effort on the internet. I would say most do not have a home page and it is difficult to fathom who what where when and why of those who do not. That is just one reason many do not have such a page, but on Freerepublic it has by my way of thinking become a matter of trust.
My home page doesn’t begin to describe me but it’s enough to meet what I would call the minimum requirements. Some have more, some less, but in my opinion you ought to have one. JimRob makes it a point of Liberty. You have a choice to have one or not.
