CENTERVILLE, Texas -- The manhunt for escaped inmate Gonzalo Lopez is over after investigators tracked him down Thursday in Atascosa County, more than 250 miles away from where the criminal initially escaped from a prison bus back on May 12. Investigators said they believe Lopez killed a Houston family, one adult and four kids.
The family's bodies were found Thursday inside of a getaway home in Leon County, which is the area where the inmate escaped more than three weeks ago. Leon County is roughly 116 miles north of Houston.

Well, that’s sure a relief./s
Right out of Breaking Bad!
“Just basically a hideout I think. They shoulda just said hideout.”
You have it backwards. It was a getaway house for the family.
He auditioned for the part of the twins, but the weird boots with the snake heads at the end squooshed his toes, so instead he stuck with real-life sociopath.
Now this is an obituary I enjoy reading.
More people were killed per capita/mile traveled with horse and buggy than with automobiles.
Exactly of the two demons he reminds me of. It’s a shame you can’t live in peace anymore.
Running away for their life my money says.
“Running away for their life my money says.”
From another article I surmise he was outside.
He fired into the rear tires causing the escapee to abandon the bus near some woods.
Did the 1st one die? Lot of murder charges, not like it matters. The amount of people flooding across the southern border is absolutely crazy.
Better yet, execute convicted murderers.
“Lopez, a 46-year-old convicted murderer who was serving a life sentence.”
Maybe so, but the horse/buggy traveled at maybe 4 mph where as
the auto is 15 times that. Put them on the same travel speed then
see where they stand.
