I’m hearing the phrase “AR-15-style rifle” a lot more in lieu of “Assault Rifle” on news reports.

Exactly. The people writing these reports have no clue of which they write.

Either it is an AR-15 or it is not an AR-15.

~~I’m hearing the phrase “AR-15-style rifle” a lot more in lieu of “Assault Rifle” on news reports.~~

Then it wasn’t just me. When FOX moved on to other reporting after covering Tulsa’s Chief of Police, I turned to CNN and was surprised to see AR-15 STYLE rifle at the bottom of the screen. I posted about it. MAYBE - just MAYBE - enough CNN correspondents have been embarrassed and corrected about what they call “weapons of war”, some common sense is creeping in. I’m not holding my breath.

Now maybe the president will catch up!!! HA - not holding my breath there either!

Exactly. Anyone know the type of rifle he actually used?
