Russia’s nuclear forces are holding drills northeast of Moscow Wednesday, a day after President Biden announced plans to send advanced missiles to Ukraine.
Some 1,000 Russian soldiers are taking part in intense maneuvers using more than 100 vehicles, including Yars intercontinental missile launchers, Russia’s independent news agency Interfax reported, citing the country’s Ministry of Defense.
The drills are taking place in the Ivanovo Oblast, about 160 miles northeast of Moscow.
The drills, which are aimed at preparing the missile systems for combat, required the troops to march more than 60 miles, camouflage the equipment and post guards, according to Russian news site mkivanovo.ru.
The training exercise also involved Typhoon-M armored counter-sabotage vehicles,
The Typhoon-M is equipped with different types of reconnaissance and surveillance equipment including a TKN-4S night vision sight and Kredo-1 ground surveillance radar. The vehicle is also equipped with an electronic warfare suite able to detect or jam hostile radio communications or electronic attacks, according to the report.

I don’t accept that division either, but I have received some plaintiff warnings of “nuclear war” from some who struck me as paleocons from other comments.

Meanwhile, over in China the CCP has issued a Mobilization Order to prepare for war.

If the Russians were really so awesome as the Putin Fanbois on this site say they are then the Russian forces would right now be camped on the Polish border.
But instead they retreated from ‘Nazi’ Kyiv, they retreated from Chernihiv, and their pathetic excuse of a navy is bottled up at Sevastopol and they’re so desperate that they’re trying to recommission the seventy-two year old cruiser Mikhail Kutuzov. It’s the only thing they have in the Black Sea that can take hits from missiles without sinking.

Only the Europeans thought it was a bluff, because the European political class believes in unicorns and successfully sells unicorn farts like "climate change" to their populations. When US intel saw all the Russian forces lined up for attack, stocked with ammo and medical supplies, etc., we knew an invasion was coming.
We have to give Ukrainians some credit. This isn't 2014 anymore. With western help, they've used 8 years to train their military for the next war.

From where I sit it would sure look like China is going to ‘protect’ Siberia for Russians.

The PLA is clearly getting ready for an invasion of Taiwan, but my guess is they’ll hold off until they can extend their reach a little further in the Pacific and wait for the US Navy to finish falling apart, which it’s doing a good job of all by itself.

Kinda lame. That’s why we have boomers (Submarines) that do the same job of “nuclear readiness” as 100,000 seamen, soldiers, and Marines can do - with a much smaller crew.
I would argue that these are not miscalculations but intentional risks. They want nuclear war, any war, to hide the money laundering going on in the Ukraine.

The GE is absolutely necessary for utilizing the artillery weapons already in theater.
LR artillery requires specialized UAVs to spot and correct fire at distance. The Orcs have Orlon-10s which do this and is main reason Orc artillery is so deadly for UA troops.
The UA has only short ranged limited and mostly commercial kit drones which cannot fly more than 20km in the best of conditions.
The Orcs are perfectly capable of locating the GE originating signal.
