If the census was calculated correctly Florida should have ended up with 30 congressional seats, we ended up with 28.
The original Legislative plan was 14 to 14, R vs D....DeSantis then presented his plan which made the 28 districts, 20 R and 8 D, and one of the D districts something 51 to 49 democrat which makes it competitive.
When it’s all said and done, I would not be surprised to see 21 Republicans to 7 Democrats coming out of Florida.
There was never any such plan in the FL legislature, and that would be a ludicrous split even for conservative-hating RINO legislators (and Florida has a few).

Last time around it took a few years before the RINO FL Supreme Court did the Democrats' bidding and shitcanned the 2011 Republican map. Let's enjoy the wailing hysterics of Democrats regarding DeSantis' map while we can because it may not last forever (or even to 2024).
I wanna move to Florida!!
