Just wait until Biden sends advanced missile batteries... and Russia responds in kind. Soon the Ukraine is going to find herself destroyed beyond recognition. We are on the path where Russia uses a tactical nuke fired from artillery. That will be moment of surrender of Emperor Z. If not a salvo might make him look like he ordered the destruction himself.

“Just wait until Biden sends advanced missile batteries... and Russia responds in kind.”

And therein lies the dilemma. Russia is incapable of ‘responding in kind’. Russia’s advanced missiles are at best a few prototypes which have been used up in petulant North Korean-style demonstrations for the media.

Russia has squandered its missile inventory with pointless attacks on hospitals, schools, apartment blocks, and etc. Whole cities have been laid to waste due to indiscriminate use of Russia’s missile capability.

There’s nothing left.

And let’s say that Russia uses a nuclear weapon against a non-nuclear Ukraine. What then?

At best what happens is every last NATO country will emplace nuclear weapons and they will all be aimed at Russia. Any lingering trade with Russia will be ended by the popular demand of people around the world. The year 2100 will come and go and Russia will still be a pariah nation sporting a third world economy.

Worst case scenario is NATO contemplates Russia’s irresponsible use of nuclear weapons on Ukraine and elects to neutralize Russia with a devastating first strike against Russian nuclear forces.

Judging by the condition of your army in Ukraine it’s quite likely that your missile forces are also in terrible condition, poorly maintained, and your vaunted mobile missile launchers probably all have dead batteries and flat tires.

This is really Russia’s final dilemma is that if they try to go nuclear and FAIL then the world will truly know how weak Russia is.

And like I said, China is watching.

Why would China and Russia attack one another? They are allies at the moment. Its like saying Nazi Germany would attack Italy or Romania in WW II. They know who their real enemy is and its not, at the moment, one another. Its The USA and the West.

“While the US and the great powers of Europe all have grown out of the dreams of empire”

Snicker. Yeahhhh sure. DC and the EU have no dreams of global domination.

They never had nukes. Never were the Soviet nukes that were physically in Ukraine when the USSR split up left under Ukrainian operational control.

They were not GIVEN nukes. And thank god. The would doesn’t need a nazi bomb.

That a pretty big “IF” old man.

I have kids who I would like to grow up in non irradiated world and straight up would hand over all of Ukraine and Europe to the Russians to protect American kids.

I don't think either the current leadership in DC or the EU cares all that much about the concept of nation-states at all. They rather exercise indirect control via multinational economic/financial institutioms.

So I'll stick by my point that neither the U.S. nor the major European powers are much interested in building traditional empires through conquest, nor would their populations support it.

Russia is, and that's why they're viewed as a pariah by many.

Poor Mercy Flush.

Russian Missiles neutralize Uke firing positions from behind Human Shields, and their performance is good.

Ukes fight from schools, hospitals and residential apartments in Uke cities instead of in the Field, and from military bunkers in Front of those Cities, ... and Russia still neutralizes them.

Severodonetsk has fallen, Kharkiv soon will.

Russia is winning.

Russian high tech weapons work well, and they have the most, and most advanced Thermonuclear Weapons on the Planet.

If you get your way, North America will be a radioactive jungle with a population less advanced than central Africa, and Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand will be Middle Ages fiefdoms.

The rest of the world will survive with China in control, and you won't be ranting on social media, but a lot of others will.

“Porshenko was a master at it. No one was to speak Russian.”

Three things:

1. Zelensky (elected in 2019, not an establishment politican, has Russian as first language) is not the same person as Poroshenko (establishment Ukrainian nationalist, voted out in 2019). Please, don’t make the mistake of thinking Z is continuity P - their politics were quite different, at least until Putin sent the tanks in and by doing so threw a massive wrecking ball into the positive effect of armistices and demobbing that Z had been fighting very hard to maintain.

2. Said it before and I’ll say it again: ask the refugees from the Donbas, Luhansk and Kherson regions, who are themselves ethnic Russian, why more of then fled west into Europe than fled east into Russian separatist areas or Russia proper... And, why so many of them waited until Russia invaded before they did it. The inconvenient fact that Russia doesn’t like people pointing out is, the worst civil war fighting was 204-2017 and people who didn’t flee the conflict zone then fled thru Poland or Germany when the Special Military Operation kicked off. If that doesn’t give you a very idiot-proof signal of just how little love and trust these Russians in Ukraine felt for their “bigger brother”, nothing will.

3. Any argument that a shared history justifies a forced reunification of an artificial country with a bigger neighbor is just indefensible, period. If that made an atom of sense there’d be a big lobby pointing out that because the Republic of Ireland spent a couple of centuries under UK rule, the UK would be entitled (and morally justified) should it impose a forced reunification. Nobody seriously makes that case. Not even the most rabid nutjobs in the “Progressive Unionist Party” would go there.

4. If you think the common language issue / erasure of Russian provides a justification - again, the example of Ireland debunks it. Just because they speak English as a first language, doesn’t mean they ARE English.

A better model for Ukraine would be Wales. Most of the Welsh population speaks English, and English remains the lingua franca in most parts. The Welsh Assembly promotes the Welsh language though. In the rural areas, an English newcomer can massively improve their relationship with the Welsh locals simply by making an attempt to learn a bit of the Welsh language. Hostility to the English tends to come when people who speak only English start acting like they own the place when in a Welsh speaking area.

Quite a lot of Ukrainians can relate to that.

Your first graphic “Russia Wants War. Look how close they’ve put their country to our military bases” was a real eye opener.

I had never seen that one before. I knew it was bad; but I never knew it was THAT bad....THANKS!

Please…give us more details about Zelensky’s successes in adhering to armistice ( presumably the Minsk agreement) and controlling the activities of the ultra nationalist right security forces, paramilitary, thugs, SBU, and hate speech incitement by political figures against resistance to the post-Maidan political establishment…..citizens labeled as “separatists” or “ traitors’

People need to realize that IF Kiev ever establishes control again over the Donbass, the retribution against millions of people, and local political bodies in the cities and villages now cooperating with Russia ( out of happiness or mere self preservation) will be severe, even genocidal.
That is why there is no path to “ victory” for Kiev, in a political sense. These Republics are gone unless Kiev slaughters their way back into domination,

Most people are unaware of the following Ukrainian decree.

Please note the date on the following Decree. A full year before Russia entered Ukraine. And Ukraine started shelling the Donbass on Feb. 16, 2022...a full week PRIOR to Russia crossing the border. Ukraine intentionally STARTED the military conflict.

https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-polytics/3214479-zelensky-enacts-strategy-for-deoccupation-and-reintegration-of-crimea.html

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted the Strategy for De-occupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol.

Decree No. 117/2021 of March 24 on enactment of the relevant decision of the National Security and Defense Council was published on the website of the Head of State, Ukrinform reports.

“To approve the Strategy for De-occupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol,” the document reads.

As noted, the strategy defines a set of diplomatic, military, economic, informational, humanitarian and other measures aimed at restoring the territorial integrity, state sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders through the de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea.

The document also identifies priorities for the state to protect human rights and freedoms violated as a result of the temporary occupation of the Crimean Peninsula, as well as the main areas of relevant economic, social, humanitarian, environmental, information, defense and security policy.

In addition, as the President’s Office underscores, the strategy sends a clear signal to the international community that Ukraine is consistent in its actions to restore territorial integrity, violated by the Russian Federation’s neglect of its international obligations.

The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to develop an action plan for the implementation of the strategy, on the basis of which the relevant government bodies will prepare and implement measures to ensure the de-occupation and reintegration of the peninsula.

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine approved the Strategy for De-occupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol on March 11.

I would like to point something out to you; let’s take a tribe in the Amazon never seen “civilization”, they can supply everything they need to live our healthy and happy and yet they have no gross domestic product. A flawed measuring stick will always measure wrong.
