“A late May Harvard-Harris poll found that 59 percent of Americans believe children should be called the pronoun that aligns with their biological sex, and 60 percent believe preferred pronouns are an “excessive measure that does more to confuse kids about their sex.”
Only 60%?? This is depressing.
There are three genders: male, female, and neuter.
Oddly, I don’t think this was an issue during the time of eunuchs.
This is slightly off-topic...or maybe it’s not.
Yesterday, I saw a post on another social media outlet from someone I’ve known since 1991. He and I met when we were both deejays at a local Christian radio station. He was a cool and funny guy. We both attended the same church and the singles group. I even introduced his wife to him. IIRC, they got married in 1996. Since moving across the state from him, I’ve kept up on his life through social media. In fact, last month, he and his wife and his 2 kids went on an extended vacation to Europe. Looked like fun.
Imagine my utter shock when, in a post on social media yesterday, he came out as an FDRQ.
There was nothing previous to this to suggest anything was going on. No announcement of a divorce from his wife. Nothing.
This has knocked me for a loop. How can someone who seemed to genuinely love God and did what he could to serve Him, all of a sudden go stark raving bonkers? He mentioned in his post that he had “prayed for years that God would burn the gay out of me”. In all our talks, he never once mentioned that he struggled with that.
The only other thing that might’ve contributed...when their oldest daughter was a teenager, she came out as a lez. They (both he and his wife) supported her decision. Perhaps that brought his feelings to the forefront.
Kids shouldn’t be allowed to choose how they’re referred to. There are just TWO genders, as that’s the way God designed it. Of course, with the (seeming) majority of people claiming they no longer believe that there is a God, it’s not surprising that they’re straying for the ways He set down all those years ago.

I’m sure it’s the vast majority. Many people, especially women, are easily guilted. The last thing they want to be accused of is being a “hater” or a “phobe” of some kind or other or not being “inclusive”.
So they knuckle under.
The left has done a magnificent job of conquering the moral high ground, by bamboozling the masses into believing they are the nice, compassionate, tolerant people that all they want is help the poor, disadvantaged and discriminated people.
Whereas we are mean, intolerant, phobic SOBs.
It’s worked wonders for them, and I don’t really know how to counter it.
Any ideas?
40% is too high to enable insanity.
This nonsense didn’t even exist at all 10 years ago.
That tells me that far too many people “change their minds” far too easily and have no real thought process. Add in the other insanities, like trannies (also not really on the radar 10 years ago) and the celebration of all this garbage, and you see how horrifyingly true that is.
I absolutely prefer “it” for all the loonies.
As little as 5 years ago, 95% of the people wouldn't have even known what a "preferred pronoun" was ...
I hear you and don’t know how to counter this.
We are always put on defense, always compelled to say, no, we don’t hate gays/women/minorities/immigrant communities, if any subjects affecting those groups are discussed.

I will never buy in to pronouns. I will insist, with the rabid willpower of a 2020 Summer of Love protestor, that you MUST use my preferred adjective, which is “magnificent”. So, get on it! Get with it!

The Left: Teach the children subversive ideas, in the schools, using tax dollars. Make each generation progressively more radical.

That's a landslide. The 40% who disagree are clearly supremacist insurrectionists and should be prosecuted and jailed.
The English language has rules that the majority follow. That is what makes it intelligible. If each person changes words at whim, there is no comprehension.
One effect of this insanity is to destroy the use of English as a vehicle of meaning. By using words that have no meaning, they destroy the meaning of meaning.
If anything means anything, then nothing means anything. That quickly leads to insanity, which is where the woke crowd wants to take us.
“Preferred Pronouns” are a sign of ignorance. An attack on science. People who use them are extremely ignorant. Humanity has begun reverse evolution. We’re headed back to the caves and trees.
Percentage among public school teachers?
