That’s not simply a “double digit” lead.. that’s close to a 20 point lead...

Live in his district.

I sent him a note after he voted for impeachment and told him if he won his primary, for the first time in my life, I would vote Democrat (I mean it). I now receive mailers for his fund raising. Good organizational skills.

Person in my HOA met with Rice at an event and kind of lost it on him after talking to him for a bit. Called him an empty suit and walked out. Rice just kept talking past every point he raised.

I work three hours away in another state during the week, so normally not there. I will be working remotely that week so I can vote against this SOB in person.

Thanks.

I always like reading posts from people who actually live in a candidate’s district and are holding them accountable.

Georgia, my state, is a result of the Republican Party being taken over by Atlanta Corporate Republicans in 2009-2011 Afte rSonny Purdue’s term as Governor the chairmanship of the party and control shifted to Atlanta Republicans and the corporate money. This was hasted by the Republican corporate hate for the Tea Party movement.

They pushed David Perdue (Sonny’s cousin and corporate executive) over Jack Kingston for Senate. This split Atlanta vs non-Atlanta Republican support. They also pushed Nathan Deal for Governor but to be honest the alternatives were other Atlanta Republicans including Karen Handel. She was more conservative but not a good candidate.

In the race for Governor 2018 the Republican Primary was between Casey Cagle, three term Lt Gov, and Brian Kemp Sec of State. Cagle had the most money, endorsement of Gov Deal. Kemp had the endorsement late of Trump. Cagle had a number of scandals surface including taped phone calls of him pushing legislation to harm another candidate and sweetheart laws for donors. This race was also a proxy fight between Sonny Perdue that backed Kemp and Nathan Deal that supported Cagle.

Kemp won but was bloodied by all the negative ads run by Cagle calling him a corrupt Sec of State. Stacey Abrams and the Democrat Party used the same messaging in the general election.

When Senator Isakson stepped down everyone assumed Doug Collins would get the Appointment to fill the vacancy. Trump wanted him appointed and had saved Kemp in the Primary for Governor. Collins was the favorite of the Republican Party outside Atlanta. However, Mitch McConnell hated Collins and he and corporate Atlanta decided on Kelly Loeffler. She was they absolute worse pick that could have been made to get base support.

In the 2020 election Kemp and the Sec of State Roffensberger caved to the Democrats on COVID election changes setting up the fall disaster. In addition the Republicans had David Perdue, not a good campaigner and Kelly Loeffler hated by many of the base running for Senate. Enthusiasm was for Trump among the base and no other Republican candidates except in a few Congressional elections. Perdue and Loeffler had no chance in the runoffs and a significant number of Base Republicans stayed home in the runoff disliking both candidates and furious at McConnell and Kemp.

People in the base are so mad now they would vote for anyone but a Democrat outside of Atlanta and the core urban areas of Albany, Columbus, Savannah and Athens.

Between now and the end of primaries (We have finished ours in TX), it is Open Season with no bag limit on RINO’s.

God Bless the United States of America.

May they all be exposed and rejected.

You can't beat something with nothing. Perdue is a two-time loser best left to business or retirement. Kemp also is a smarter campaigner than the Kinzingers and Liz Cheneys of this world.

Very informative post — thanks!

Collins would have energized the base and he would have been able to hold that Senate seat which Loeffler (and her puppetmasters) choked away.

Even so, establishment RINOs tell us 7 days a week and twice on Sundays the lie that conservative candidates are “unelectable” and therefore they demand that we nominate nothing but uninspiring simps like Loeffler and Purdue (and Katie Britt in Alabama, and whichever of Oz or McCormick wins the PA Senate primary, etc.).

And some people still wonder, even when these simps occasionally win and Republicans have nominal control of the House or Senate, why nothing of value is ever accomplished.

Great news , thanks
i hope Fry and Arrington can win big to avoid runoff
but guess Dem crossover will thwart that
Open primaries stink. We need to take back control
