Well no wonder the cops didn’t storm the school.

... "the students and staff are safe in the buildings." All except the 21 dead ones.
They are only 'mostly safe'.

It seems that every level of government in the US is irretrievably broken.

Apparently the door to the classroom where the 19 children and two teachers were massacred was not locked, perhaps the result of chaos and panic.

The door was designed to automatically close and lock so it could not be opened from the outside. A teacher propped the door open, saw the shooter coming, and ran back inside, leaving the door propped open.
No security measures can overcome stupidity.

No security measures can overcome stupidity. No, but loud alarms and flashing lights would help.

Perhaps Anne Marie Espinoza, executive director of communications and marketing (why would a public school have such a position?) can let us all know the answer to a few questions:
When did the lockdown of Robb Elementary occur?
How was the lockdown of Robb communicated to the school?
Who made the lockdown announcement?
Why wasn’t the school, in fact, ‘locked down’? The back door? Rooms 110/111?
