To me the verdict is historically similar to the Duke students that were wrongly accused of raping the stripper. In the end not only did we find out the stripper was a liar, but the District Attorney knew it and brought charges for political purposes to advance his career.
There have been a lot of men accused of things by women that they did not do because these women knew they could lie and be believed.
