if depps claim of defamation is true, it means she lied about him abusing her.
if she lied about him abusing her, her abuse claim is a hoax.
defamation by definition cannot be the truth.
So she lied which can also be called a hoax. A hoax is a lie told to provoke a response.
If the court found in Depp’s favor it could not logically also find in Heard’s favor. They are opposing verdicts.

Depp’s AGENT is liable for [lesser] lying about Heard.
