Russia, among the obvious other reasons for war, has been cleaning out its military the only way it can: brutal school of war. Staff that don’t deliver will be removed.
That's my thinking as well. Russia's advances have stumbled at times due to leadership and outright criminal theft so the entrenched leadership needs to go.
It's something that's long overdue here in the United States.
Russia is building a battle hardened ground force that is learning how to defeat all the best of NATO’s weapons systems.
This won’t end well for Europe.
