Russian state media threatened that President Vladimir Putin could “destroy the entire east coast of the U.S.” with just two Sarmat “Satan II” nuclear missiles if the West continues to escalate war in Ukraine.
The chilling warning was made Tuesday on Russia’s media program Rossiya 1 by Russian member of Parliament Alexei Zhuravlev, who explained that Russia could launch only four Sarmat missiles to completely destroy the US east and west coasts.
“I will tell you absolutely competently that to destroy the entire the East Coast of the United States, two Sarmat missiles are needed,” Zhuravlev said. “And the same goes for the West Coast. Four missiles, and there will be nothing left.”
“They think the mushroom cloud will be taller than a high rise. That mushroom cloud will be visible from Mexico,” he added.

What’s the whining and blubbering all about? We were told here that all those weapons were being seized by the Russians and none were getting through to the Ukrainians. We were told that all the sanctions were the greatest thing since sliced bread for Russia. I know Russians like bread, else they would not have waited on lines for hours and hours for it.
The left must have full control of Russian natural resources for their fairy powered world. If Russia was serious about proxy wars, he would have called out obamas Syrian pipeline war that placed us troops near a Russian base established in the late 70s.
This is another democrat pipeline war for Europe. My son is engaged to a Dutch girl.. they spend their hours making fun of Walmart shoppers. I am a Walmart shopper… he was really quiet after that. Europe does not respect us, like us or anything good… our leadership thinks we don’t know France is a state sized collection of nothingness… same with the rest of the European “countries”.
And don’t fall for the propaganda movies made for the anti-defense investors who’ve been claiming that there will be no more wars. Those investors are more afraid of unforeseen changes in markets than anything else (e.g., changes caused by wars).
Nuclear exchanges would be survivable for people outside of blast areas and people who aren’t downwind and close to ground bursts. Air bursts (the vast majority of strikes) won’t release enough fallout for concern.

They threaten to drown the UK under a mega weapon tidal wave detonated in the Atlantic. Not sure what Dublin’s done to deserve annihilation but the worst we’d get from that is a salty bath in Blackpool.
Either they’re doing something like satirising their own regime with such idiotic hyperbole or they’re a bunch of imbeciles who’re completely off their heads. That senior military dude who said we’re laughing at these ludicrous threats wasn’t wrong.
The bit I didn’t find funny was, the matter-of-fact way they debated how maybe 5% of the population of Ukraine is irredeemable ie will never accept Russification no matter how much they’re brainwashed, bribed or blackmailed... and the irredeemably Uke folks’ll need to be destroyed.
That’s talking about murdering up to 2 million people.
And that was the optimistic number. They rounded it down from 15% which suggests a further 4 million will be forced out of Ukraine permanently if they don’t swear allegiance to the Hammer and Sickle. Where they’ll be relocated to, wasn’t discussed.
But Russia already has concentration camps, so it all sounds very “Final Solution”.
