These individuals would have been referred to way, way back in the day as “house Negroes”. They are there just to placate the liberal black population into thinking liberals want them to have opportunities when the exact opposite is the truth.
Don’t doubt me; I am a graduate of the DOD Equal Opportunity Manageme Program. Don’t be too impressed; is was just an 8 week course.
Knew most of what was taught before I got there, but learned some very good information.
Affirmative Action programs were never intended to be about quotas. There are supposed to be about laying out all the specific qualifications for promotions, and too reduce promotions based on who you know, not what you know.
Maybe that is because white democrats are racist?
Magnum, You win this thread with your image!!!!
Mammy was one of my favorite people in the book and the movie. She took the unfair, awful lot that life gave to her and made something wonderful of it. She didn’t need mentors, she became a strong loving mentor herself to those around her even though there was no “path to promotion” available to her.
It seems that Hattie McDaniel who played Mammy, even amid the poverty and racial discrimination while she was growing up, had the same approach to life. Wasn’t it she who said, “ I did my very best, and then God did all the rest.”
You summed her up very well. She was quite a lady. Thanks for that.
Twenty-one black White House staffers find out the plantation master only used them as a token (as did Obama) now they know what the democrat party is made of.
