After that news conference, members of the media converged at Arredondo’s home and police cruisers took up posts there. At one point, a man answering the door at Arredondo’s house told a reporter for The Associated Press that Arredondo was “indisposed.”
“The truth will come out,” said the man before closing the door.

Arredumbo should be downtown sweeping up and answering questions. Why does he get to hide out at home? Packing for his move? And who orders the cruisers to cover for him. No law anyplace requires the police to protect citizens.
“The truth will come out” implies what is being reported is something other than the truth. Such as, perhaps, someone above Arredondo actually gave the stand-in-place order.
OTOH, refusing to cooperate with the investigation does not sound conducive to truth coming out.
