The judge gave very specific directions. They seemed to apply to the law.
But throughout the whole thing, the FBI didn’t seemed “bothered” by any of this. The jury probably thought, “If they don’t care…why should we?”

It is very rare for the prosecution to appeal a loss in a criminal case, but possible if the issue legal rather than factual. I didn't follow the case closely, but there were issues with the jury that was seated having Hillary contributors on it. I believe that could be appealed, and possibly retried.
