I was just thinking the same thing. She did tell the police she was pregnant.
“even though she had shown that she was unarmed and told them that she was pregnant, according to a horrified witness.”
However I must wonder if the witness was just saying that. I have seen where witness (witness who do not trust or hate police officer) will lie about the police in my local area.
A lot of haters on FR are quick to side against the police. At least we should let a fair investigation take place before we start hating the police.
