Attitudes like yours are why Russia has stopped listening to Americans. The US State Dept. (Blinken, Sherman, Nudelman) maliciously interfered with the Minsk Agreement.

The Russians are in the process of enforcing those terms and there is not one damn thing loudmouths in the US can do about it.

The negotiation period is all over.

“Seems their Whiz-Bang artillery 155mm are next to useless without GPS.”

ALL of the M-777s shipped without GPS targeting computers and every shot has to be computed offline.

Like in WWII. Even ranging rounds are needed.

The US would not risk capture of these computers. All the shooters have to know is the coordinate of the target they want to hit, and the azimuth/elevation is displayed based on the precise location of the gun.

Towed artillery compared to self-propelled as primary artillery in 2022 is a major joke. We are giving Ukraine our trash to please American public opinion. Towed arty is only useful in 2022 against Afghan goat-herders who can’t shoot back. (And the Afghans chased us out anyway.)

Plus, Russia is jamming and spoofing GPS all over the area.

Towed works great...until after the first volley.

After that, nobody wants to go near it.

You talk like a kook.

And there is something being done about it.

Lots of dead Russians.

Not trying to be paranoid, but as soon as that 40 bil went out the window, nobody gave e AF about the Ukraininans any longer.

They messed up. They trusted the USA.

I really hate to be saying this, but that's sure how it looks from here.

“The US would not risk capture of these computers.”

I heard that too, but even the shells use GPS real time to accurately hit their targets at the distances they shoot.

So they can point and shoot with excellent coordinates, but they’ll still have a tough time getting direct hits at those distances.

So there’s a new communist mantra - those who support Ukraine against aggression are murdering the Ukrainians.

Spoken like true marxist dupes.

I think I’ve learned which so called “Americans” will tell us to surrender when we’re attacked.

Yea, I saw that Trav - Titanium, LOL! I’m just glad we’re learning how STUPID our military planners were in a proxy war, where very few Americans (so far) have to die.

GPS makes sense when driving on base to the Officer’s Club or something, but it doesn’t do quite as well in combat situations against a modern military that is NOT made up of idiot planners.

Ukraine is selling its wheat to pay for weapons.

It's hard to find anything definitive on the subject, but that aligns with my understanding. Countries like Poland ship them obsolete Soviet equipment, and the rest of the NATO countries ship them NATO weaponry which is either obsolete, or approaching or past its expiration date. In exchange, Ukraine has to pay them with money from current sales of grain.

The NATO countries want to keep the war going as long as Ukraine still has anything of value they can extract to line their own pockets. The NATO countries are able to replenish their military stockpiles with new weapons with the proceeds, or at least what remains of it after the graft.

Towed arty was great against 7th Century goat herders with no ability to fire counter-battery in 5 minutes.

Yes Putin is directly responsible, but Soros has been manipulating the politics of the Ukraine, as he manipulates our politics. There's a reason the Hungarian government has been so wary of and so guarded against his influence. If you don't believe world politics are being manipulated, you are the fool - and I truly hope you wake up.

I’m not an immoral jerk like you. If Russia defeats Ukraine or China occupies Taiwan, it won’t make them “right”.

And you’re the one who will live with the reality of what’s coming from China and Russia, and what it’s going to do to us.

Not only will the crap we’re sending not work very well, there’s learning curves, and deployment time issues... if it gets deployed at all.

Forget about constant ammo, maintenance and parts needed. Trying to arm foreigners with our stuff even under the best circumstances is always a logistical nightmare.

The majority of what we send will go to the Russians, black market and corruptocrats pockets.
