Yet another reason why our side is continuing losing: the inability to know what’s propaganda and what is not.
Propaganda comes with the territory. Fist of the North Star showed happy Ukrainian peasants singing, dancing and reaping a bountiful harvest, loyal communists all. Then the Germans invade and they all burn their houses and crops and take up arms to repulse the invaders, who are evil through and through, sometimes making Homeric speeches before delivering a decisive blow. It was produced in Hollywood, and was patently false in every respect. But the Soviets won. Germany had its own propaganda, of course, even before the commencement of hostilities.
