As the UK prepares to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next week, up and down the land street party organisers are putting up bunting and sending invitations to neighbours.

The nation will celebrate 70 years of the Queen on the throne over a four-day bank holiday from 2 to 5 June.

What events are planned?

The Queen is the first British monarch to have a platinum jubilee. There are lots of events planned:

Thursday 2 June

Trooping the Colour. Celebrations start with the Queen's official birthday parade, ending with an RAF fly-past watched by members of the Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace

Lighting of the beacons. Over 1,500 beacons will be lit across the UK. The main beacon, involving the sculpture Tree of Trees, will be lit in a special ceremony in Buckingham Palace

Friday 3 June

Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral. Great Paul, the country's largest church bell, will ring

Saturday 4 June

Derby at Epsom Downs. Members of the Royal Family are expected at the horse racing event

Platinum Party at the Palace. A live concert in front of Buckingham Palace featuring acts including Diana Ross, Queen, Duran Duran, Sir Rod Stewart and Sam Ryder

Sunday 5 June

Platinum Jubilee Pageant. A performance finishing in front of Buckingham Palace will tell the story of the Queen's reign, featuring military personnel, dancers, puppets of corgis, and a performance by Ed Sheeran

Big Jubilee Lunches will take place throughout the country. Pubs, bars and nightclubs can stay open until 01:00 BST between 2 and 4 June.

Because the House of Windsor has a metastatic Epstein Problem?

If Lizzie makes two balcony appearances so Air Miles Andy and the Harkles can be appeased, there goes the monarchy.

BTW, I’m thinking Lizzie’s so-called mobility issue has less to do with mobility and more to do with a cognitive impairment.

I think the UK’s Deep State is pulling a BiteMe.

No kidding.

He’s going to be dead before she is at the rate she’s going.

Who would get the throne then?

His next in line brother or one of his kids since he was the heir?

Since Charles has had male heirs it would go to William. And almost nobody would have a problem with that.

Nonsense.
The British monarchy will be fine.
Andrew or no Andrew.
The British people decide about their monarchy, not some trolling Americans.

It’s not just Andrew anymore, is it?

And an interesting question: Why are he and Harry still Councilors of State...?

And if it turns out that Harry is in the US on a visa that allows the Harkles to dodge US income taxes, and that info becomes public...

How do you even manage to come up with this made up nonsense?
Let's see how well you walk when you are 96, if you are lucky enough to live that long.
Cognitive impairment huh?
That would be Dementia Joe.

No?
Who else you talking about who had friendships with Epstein?
Bill Clinton?

I’m saying that the problem extends past Andrew now.

A relationship with Epstein isn’t required, is it?

Just having something to hide. And someone else who knows it.

I was on the QM2 in Southampton when the Queen had her 60th. Didn’t plan it that way, just stumbled into it. Big celebration on the ship. All 3 of the Cunard liners were in the harbor. Fireworks. A lot of fun.

I'm saying that the problem extends past Andrew now.

In what way?
And how the heck does it affect the British monarchy?
Neither Andrew or Harry were ever going to become King anyway. They are not relevant to this conversation.
Do you even know how old the British monarchy is and what they have gone through in history?
It was there long before America was even founded.

My family bugged from England in the 1630s.

They were prescient.
