Free speech, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to speak publicly, to publish, to peaceably assemble, to freely worship, and to protest the government for a redress of grievances shall not be infringed.Repeal that!

For the record, the 1st A says nothing about protest the government. It is not about protest, a mild form of stating some opinion. Citizens ‘protest’.
People, on the other hand, peacefully assemble. People create petitions. People serve their petitions to government for redress. Redress is not mere ‘protest’, it is a direct order to our elected servants to fix our grievances. Not at some nebulous time... but NOW! If these servants do not accept the petitions, then People can use the militias to do the serving for redress.
