“A weakened West won’t be able to do much in TIwan. The Pacific could become a Chinese lake. And a weakened Russia would have trouble holding onto Siberia. China could dominate it, even if the figleaf of Russian sovereignty over it were to be maintained.”
Another “China-is-superman” comicbook fantasy.
The last time I looked, the ChiComm army got its ass handed to them when it invaded Ladakh in India, the summer of 2020. The Indians sent in their Indian Army Gurkhas who wiped out the ChiComm forces and stacked their bodies like cordwood.
The Chinese moms, who lost their only sons, were furious at Winnie-the-poo and the episode nearly cost President Xi Jinping his head as General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party.
Bigtime, mainly because it was Gurkhas.
Hope you’re right.
I remember reading about that conflict. But I don't recall the outcome. When I last read about it...it was a back and forth from what I recall.
You’re confusing the border skirmishes with a war for one and for two they’ve had two years to retrain their men since then.
