Same thing happened at Myanmar, where the Muslim savages attacked the Buddhists, burning their homes and destroying their villages. The commies at Google flipped it around and claimed the Buddhists attacked the Rohingya Muslims. All the videos of the Muslims slaughtering the Buddhists have been removed.
We are living in an upside-down world where the truth is lies and the lies are truth.
Only if we let them and then what. Some people think this is a preparatory action to start a war with Nato. Maybe we have another Sino Russia alliance. What happens if Russia wins and then North Korea and China invade South Korea and Taiwan where we have treaty obligations. Taiwan and even Sweeden have felt threatened by what had been happening even before this mess. What do they know that we don't? If Russia loses they wont do that. Since it is “not out war” Do you think we should pull out of Nato and Seato? China and Russia are likely the only large powers left in the world with a malevolent nature who could hurt us. It is foolish to just let Russia go with out trying to stop it.
Look at who is in the White House.

Let me go through the trouble to explain MAIN POINT of my post. It was NOT which group of North Vietnam ran the mightiest superpower of the era out of south Vietnam. I still remember Americans remaining south Vietnam using helicopters to escape from roof tops.
The MAIN POINT I was making is that even the mighty superpower could not defeat the enemy using guerilla tactics.
In context of Ukraine, the Ukrainians are also utilizing guerilla tactics. There are no battles between army of Ukraine confronting army of Russia.

The T-62's are not being used in battle on the front. They are used in the conquered areas to assist squads manning checkpoints etc. They are perfect for this purpose.
Hello....there is no war between army of one country versus army of another country in Ukraine. It is strictly hit and run tactics by Ukrainian forces. Such guerilla wars do not produce quick victories. DO you remember how long United States fought in Vietnam? Again it was hit and run guerilla tactics by Viet Cong which made the conflict go on for like ever.

The Russians are getting their butts kicked, yes. But they certainly thought they were going to waltz right in and dictate terms.
I don't carry water for Ukraine. It's probably full of corruption. But so is Russia and Putin is a thug and a bully, and I hate bullies.

What you don’t realize is that when you get a critical part of your argument wrong, it calls into question your whole premise. BTW: the US was never defeated militarily in Vietnam. We did not lose any major battles, and we never lost or gave up ground. Our political leadership threw it all away.

The guerillas were the VC, and we knocked them out of the war.

The VietCong did not defeat the U.S. military. The VC and NVA were decimated after the ‘68 Tet offensive but General Giap was convinced (correctly) that the war could be won in the UnitedStates public arena.

Guerillas are irregular forces. I’m sure there are some in Ukraine. They won’t really show up in any real numbers until the occupation.
