Hanna Maliar, Deputy Defence Minister, said that the Russians were currently storming Ukrainian positions on several fronts at the same time.
Source: Maliar on Facebook
Quote: "Currently, the situation at the front remains difficult and shows signs of worsening further.
The enemy has used all forces and means to capture the territory and encircle our troops.
The enemy is firing along the entire front line. The fighting has reached its maximum intensity. The enemy is storming the positions of our troops simultaneously on several fronts.
We have an extremely difficult and long stage ahead of us in the struggle for the complete liberation of our territories within internationally recognised borders.
We need to understand that this is a war and, unfortunately, losses on our side are inevitable. "

This cannot be, Zel told everyone that Russia is about to run out of missiles.
(Actually Russia produces more Kalibr missiles daily than they use... and the production in June is to almost double.)
But, but, I saw pictures of destroyed Russian tanks!!!
They are DESPERATELY trying to get one, but I suspect even most here who do support the Neocon side of this war would rather not try to fight Russia in a ground war in that part of the world.
And Henry Kissinger.
Henry Kissinger is now listed on the Ukrainian Mirotvoretz site. Screen shot here:
This is the site where Ukes list the enemies to be eliminated. It began with DNR/LNR leaders and indeed several were assassinated.
I saw Kissinger’s remarks and just saw them as quite pragmatic, in a sort of “you guys need to choose your battles” sort of way.
Pragmatic is the definition of Kissinger, this never changed.
But the current leaders beginning with the Demented are anything but :(
The point of the first map from 1914 is NOT to show Ukraine has no right to exist, or that it is Russian property. Same goes for Ireland, etc etc. The point is that central European borders have appeared, disappeared and shifted for centuries going back a thousand years. But suddenly, the latest "Bloodlands" border revision is worth risking nuclear WW3?

Quick speedyintexas, more neocon propaganda!
“Maybe so but they hace ti fight somewhere and to prevent the Russians from seizing Odessa”
They will not be able to stop it.
From your lips to God's ear.

I was being sarcastic. 😁
“The $40 billion should have been spent in a bribe to Zelensky as a reward for signing a peace treaty!”

1. Those who pushed the bill forward couldn’t care less about peace because
2. A good portion of the money will (or already has) found it’s way back to those same people or their families.
I was born in the morning - just not yesterday morning.
I am astonished at how so many people here (except for the trolls, who are obviously not a surprise) have failed to recognize that they are getting played by the government and media on the Ukraine just as they were on the Covid hoax (I do hope they are up-to-date on their toxic, unnecessary, ineffective shots).
Whatever anyone thinks about the merits of the sides in the war, it is clear, and has been, for those who read widely that the Russian military is slowly, methodically chopping the AFU to pieces in the Donbass. Moreover, anyone who pays attention to more than NATO/US propaganda understands that the Russian approach is designed to minimize it’s own and civilian casualties. The AFU has embedded in cities among the civilians (evil if Muslims do it, but apparently “O’tay” if Zelensky’s forces do it”) and is entrenched in extensive fortifications it has constructed during it’s 8 year war against the ethnic Russians in the Donbass. Don’t pay attention to Severodonetsk being about to fall and the AFU in the east about to be trapped in cauldrons and semi-cauldrons, just keep slurping up nonsense about the Russian force being decimated by the plucky AFU (including its 30%-40% neo-Nazi elements) and the continuing victories of the Ghost of Kiev and the heroic deeds of Miss Ukraine and her paintball gun.
What people here should be concerned about is having a senile President and his low IQ administration pushing the world to the brink of nuclear war. Oh, and yes, after the disclosure of there being at least 31 biowarfare labs in Ukraine, along with thousands of pounds of enriched uranium and plutonium, and the US/NATO bad faith on NATO expansion, combined with the Ukraine’s 8 year war against the Donbass, including civilians, the balance of equities lies with the Russians. I do find it hilarious that there seems to be little if any awareness here that the Poles are subtly working to regain Galicia (part of the Ukrainian west). Zelensky doesn’t seem to mind a semi-merger with Poland (which would do a better job of governing Ukraine).
People here might also wonder how long Biden can keep the rest of NATO roped into his disasterous foreign policy. The Euro is at about a $1 and futures markets see it breaking below a dollar. If the Russians turn off the gas, the EUSSR dies (along with WEF) economically...actually, not a bad thing no matter what you think of the war.
For the elderly here, Russia is not the Soviet Union...just in case you’ve forgotten (Prevagen might help). In addition, see if you can get it through your heads that this terrible war would not have happened if the West had kept it’s promises instead of looking to march up to the border of Russia.
Let’s go Brandon.
Erudite post
Yes, incisive post.
Great maps that lay a lot out, thank you.
You are very welcome, that’s why I post them.
Amen.
It’s amazing that today’s liberals LOVED “Russia” when it was leading the USSR as a Communist totalitarian dictatorship. Gulags, Ukraine’s “Holodomor” genocide forced starvation, purges, “psychiatric hospitals” to chemically lobotomize freedom-loving dissidents, etc.
But once the USSR broke up, and Russia gave up Bolshevism.....suddenly our liberals hate Russia.
“I suspect even most here who do support the Neocon side of this war would rather not try to fight Russia in a ground war in that part of the world.”
It’s been said that Russia is “too much Asian”.
That wasn’t in regard to the Chechin brigades Putin sent to Ukraine. The Chechin troops’ leader, Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov, said this week, “Watch out, Poland—you’re next”.
