I once I drove across the country - from Lexington, SC to
Phoenix, AZ. Stopped the second night at a motel in
Hobbes, NM. Somebody cut the locked cable securing my
25 foot flatbed trailer to my GMC Sierra pickup, popped
the trailer hitch, and stole my trailer.

A witness saw it - said it was somebody driving an old
Plymouth Volare', but didn't get the plate number.

This was 28 years ago.
What's the statute of limitations on something like this?
This guy probably can't help me.

LOL

You didn't search for the thief? I wouldn't think a Volare pulling a 25' flatbed could drive much faster than walking speed.

I once lived in Hobbs. Don’t go back. Your trailer is probably still in fine shape.
