The green is flowing in New Jersey.
The Garden State raked in over $24 million dollars in recreational marijuana sales in the industry’s first month, according to the state Cannabis Regulatory Commission.
Since a dozen dispensaries in New Jersey first opened for operation on April 21, recreational marijuana sales averaged nearly $5 million per week for a total of $24,201,875.38 from 212,433 transactions, NJ.com first reported.
Jeff Brown, executive director for the CRC, said there is still room for substantial growth in the market as the commission approved an additional five dispensaries across the state.

Money is the opiate of the politician.
Like I said..
The government is the biggest, most evil and violent drug dealer there is.
Now that the whoring politicians can take in even more cash, here we go...
I figured out pretty much instantly that she was stoned out of her gourd, but we managed to do business. She has a cool sign.
But these laws are not all about "recreational."
I don't want to imagine how she behaves in heavy traffic.
That’s a gross sales figure, what was New Jersey’s actual cut?
If I understand the economics correctly, legalizing pot always results in this initial spike which quickly fades (much like Rat economic policies).
This was never legal, nor was gambling for the “sake of the children.” Now it is all legal, the children’s schools still do not have enough money, and the black market for marijuana is intact. No problem, the amoral state gets its cut, that is all that matters.
Heavy traffic? She probably doesn’t even ...notice it!
She will drive the same speed all of the time.
Dark shades in the nighttime.

Choose between liberty or drugs. We won’t have both for long.
:) ... Yup, you got it!
The country already sold its soul to the devil when it comes to drugs. People would clearly rather have drugs than anything else in their lives.
“People who really love being stoned carry it into every part of their daily lives“
That generalization is not true. I’ve been getting stoned for 50 years, growing my own for 40. It never leaves my house, I don’t drive after smoking until I’ve slept for the evening. Never sold any, never gave any away.
In the vast majority of my business interactions I have been the more rational and reliable party.
I’m neither unique nor special.
Good for you. It goes without saying that the world would be much better if everyone thought as you do.
Unfortunately, we’re right now in a “post-pandemic” world where too many people think anything goes.
What was this thread about? I forgot.
Pizza, I think. Who's calling Dominoes?
40 years back, before Medical MJ was ever spoken of seriously, it was not as easy to grow your own without worrying on being discovered. Those in rural areas had a big advantage, but still had to be aware. There is always some nosy neighbor watching, from behind an old lace curtain.
You are a unique user in that you are self disciplined about driving and you aren’t growing in hopes of selling as a way to pay your bills.
“too many people think anything goes.”
I don’t overly blame a lot of them, the straight and narrow hasn’t brought the expected returns. As long as they (we) don’t hurt or hassle the next guy, that’s a win these days.
But as for “too many” you sure are right.
