Ukraine should demine its ports as soon as possible, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a telephone conversation with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer.

"At the request of the Austrian chancellor, the Russian president assessed the situation in the context of the ongoing special military operation to defend Donbass and informed him about the efforts to ensure safe navigation in the Black and Azov Seas," the Kremlin press service said.

"In this context, it was stressed that the Ukrainian side should demine its ports as soon as possible to ensure free passage of the blocked ships," the Kremlin said.

This is clarification of previous News Releases (mentioned in this News Release) regarding Maritime Humanitarian Corridors established by Russia.

Quote: According to earlier reports, Russia opened two maritime humanitarian corridors in the Azov and Black Sea from 08:00am to 19:00 every day. The 80-nautical-mile long and three-mile wide humanitarian corridor in the Black Sea is meant for ships to leave the ports of Kherson, Nikolayev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odessa, and Yuzhny in the southwestern direction off Ukraine’s territorial sea.

Ping, Tass clarification (somewhat awkward), confirming the accuracy of your take on Mariupol, plus Kherson, Nikolayev, Chernomorsk, Ochakov, Odessa, and Yuzhny.

You were right, safe exit only for previously trapped vessels.

Only with the condition that Russian ships of all kinds remain minimum of 100 km offshore.

Putin wants mines cleared so he can resupply his criminal invasion forces.

Russia doesn’t keep it’s agreements. So you need a multinational force in those waters to ensure Russian compliance.

There is support building for such a force.

From the #1 Russian (aka- Soviet) propaganda wing/media organization in Russia... Literally every “humanitarian” corridor Russia has opened, whether land or sea, has actually been a killing field - where civilians are slaughtered, where actual humanitarian aid is used as target practice.

TY!

Remember I conjectured that there may be issues with Ukraine allowing the vessels to leave?

This (Google translation) is from Telegram, you may want to reconfirm by looking up the Turkish original article.

As it became known to the publication, Ukraine does not allow 21 Turkish ships to leave the port and uses them as human shields to create an obstacle to the attack on Odessa.

The special military operation of Russia on the territory of Ukraine continues. While in Mariupol, neo-Nazi units trapped in a smelter are surrendering, Ukraine is preventing foreign ships from leaving ports to thwart an advance on Odessa.

According to the Aydınlık publication, there are 21 Turkish ships among the blocked ships. Four ships fly the flag of Turkey, the rest, although they sail under the flags of other states, also belong to the Republic of Turkey.
The source reports: “Ukraine does not give these ships permission to leave under the pretext of “the presence of danger”, justifying this by the fact that they “mined the water area”. Russia has opened a security corridor, but again they do not give permission.

The reason is different. If the foreign ships go to sea, the Ukrainians will lose cover and Odessa will fall in no time. Therefore, they do not give permission for this to foreign ships, including 21 Turkish ships. One of the reasons for the forced waiting of the Turkish ships is as follows: it is calculated that the Russians will begin an operation in Odessa, and in the event of a hit on a Turkish ship, tension will arise in Russian-Turkish relations.”

Yes, you did, and you were right.

Previous Russian and Turkish News Releases were too brief and failed to explain details and reasons.

This latest News looks very bad for Ukraine, and gives some insight into Turkey's being reasonable with Russia in trying to solve the problem.
