I didn’t dispute the numbers, just the effects due to those much, much, lower numbers.
The Russians are winning, big. And, they are trying to liberate and save the lives of ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine, where the war is taking place. So, why would they harm the people they are trying to help?
My complaint about him is that in general he is not critical of Russia but is very critical of the US.
He’s a smart guy; but on this subject (Russia, Ukraine, US) he is fully on Russia’s side, and I don’t agree with his reasons.
That’s not an ad hominem (BTW: It’s spelled with an “e,” not a second “I”). I just happen to think he is biased in favor of Russia.
He also said this about Trump:

Mil-industrial complex gets rich while USA Military and American taxpayers get depleted. This was all part of Obama and his oligarch sponsors plan to involve USA in a corrupt Ukraine where the Zelensky gets billions of our military hardware free without even an IOU.
Why are they not working for peace instead of escalation? It is always the same people getting richer while sucking the USA dry, all while they are bringing in millions of sap sucker foreigners most of which will cost us many billions we do not have.
