I respectfully disagree. Even if they're successful in forcing or convincing everybody to drive EV's, they won't be satisfied. Their stated agenda, even when blabbered publicly "accidently" by someone like Brandon, is never their real agenda.

Their real agenda is control. They'll raise electricity prices to control the movement of EV drivers.

Yes, that’s what I expect. There’s an obvious giveaway - to support these rolling electricity hogs we need lots of new energy sources. It can’t be solar since you will need to charge your car at night. It has to be nuclear or conventional, and they are building neither.

So, oops! we must have power rationing. And you’re selfish if you don’t agree.

Yes
Regulations
Restrictions
Taxes
And don’t think for a second it will be cheaper..especially the taxes imposed.
On the contrary it will likely be 2 or 3 times what we pay now.

That is fundamentally it, control.

If Leftists really cared about the environment, they wouldn't fly private jets, invest in companies that ostensibly harm the environment, or even purchase beach front housing.

That environmentalism all just blather for cover.

Once they force people into EV, three things happen:

  1. People can only drive limited distances in EV. A car with a full tank and extra fuel in containers can drive a very long distance, thousands of miles. An EV can only do 200-400 miles, and you pay a huge premium for that 400 mile range.

  2. The source of the energy for the EVs is more controllable than gasoline for ICE vehicles (having a 55 gallon drum of gasoline on your property and auxillary fuel tanks on your car is easier and far more affordable than solar panels and battery farms, and you are STILL tied to your property in less than a 400 mile radius) Electric charging stations to Gas stations is like Electronic Currency to Paper Currency.

  3. The vehicle itself becomes easier to track and take control of. When you plug the car in, if it is not currently trackable, it will be. Of course, they will cloak it in such an attractive way as to say you don't have to go through the payment process anymore, when you plug in, the MAC address of the car will check in (which will be tied, of course, to your vehicle registration) check your bank currency level, charge your battery and subtract automatically from your account. Rubes will be lining up for that.

Paranoid?

Perhaps. But after what I have seen for the past 10-20 years in particular, there is nothing I will rule out anymore, most especially from the Left.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out their real agenda and goals. Is it harming the proles? Enriching the elites? Just amassing power? Oppression of all non-elites? Just oppression for the fun of oppressing?

"Their real agenda is control. They'll raise electricity prices to control the movement of EV drivers."

The tech involved will mean they can control the movement of EVs themselves, while During 2021, U.S. retail electricity prices rose at fastest rate since 2008. In 2021, the average nominal retail electricity price paid by U.S. residential electric customers rose at the fastest rate since 2008, increasing 4.3% from 2020 to 13.72 cents per kilowatthour (kWh), according to data from our latest Electric Power Monthly. This increase is similar to the change in the U.S. Consumer Price Index, which was 4.7% in 2021.

Per state: https://www.chooseenergy.com/electricity-rates-by-state/

And Nuclear is much scorned.
