Thanks for your thoughts and I share your desire for energy independence. At my house, to get enough sunny space I’d have to take down a bunch of big oak trees, so I’m stuck.

But I do use solar when camping and have 100 amp hours of storage, I use it mostly for cooking and TV. When I recharge and it’s sunny, 6 hours of sun will keep me topped up. But, on cloudy days it’s a gamble. One thing I’ve had to learn is to be vigilant in what I use. Amazing what small appliances consume when you’re watching your watts!

It sounds like you’ve made a large investment in your system. If I were building a new home, I think it would be a great thing to add.

The econazis are absolutely giddy at the high price of gas and will go orgasmic when it hits $10 a gallon.

It’s more than gas prices it’s famine that will result from this green pipe dream. US agriculture, which currently feeds the world, runs on diesel fuel. There aren’t even prototypes of electric tractors, combines or heavy haul trucks that are needed to plant, harvest and transport crops to market. With current technology practical electric farm equipment would be impossible. Where in the middle of the field do you get a recharge? Would the greens expect huge combines to spend half of their time recharging while crops rot in the fields? Without diesel power, American agriculture would go back to basically subsistence farming like in the early 1900s.

Yes. And General Robert Spalding was spot on to raise the alarm on 5G technology being solely controlled by the Communists.

5G is going to be so invasive and broad that I see it fully being leveraged for tyrannical purposes.

Such as shutting down EVs if **someone** wants them shut down.

And given that our current government is fully and wholly compromised top to bottom by the Communist Chinese I don’t have any faith in people who would scoff and say “Oh, you’re just paranoid. That would never happen.”

For the life of me, I cannot figure out their real agenda and goals. Is it harming the proles? Enriching the elites? Just amassing power? Oppression of all non-elites? Just oppression for the fun of oppressing?

"Their real agenda is control. They'll raise electricity prices to control the movement of EV drivers."

The tech involved will mean they can control the movement of EVs themselves, while During 2021, U.S. retail electricity prices rose at fastest rate since 2008. In 2021, the average nominal retail electricity price paid by U.S. residential electric customers rose at the fastest rate since 2008, increasing 4.3% from 2020 to 13.72 cents per kilowatthour (kWh), according to data from our latest Electric Power Monthly. This increase is similar to the change in the U.S. Consumer Price Index, which was 4.7% in 2021.

And Nuclear is much scorned.

There already is a cap in prices for liquid fuels. I have been using 85% ethanol for six months now it’s $3.58 a gallon nearly a buck cheaper than the E10 87 octane in the black pump next to it. Mileage is down by only 15% compared to E10 so it makes sense to use E85 anytime E10 is more than 15% more expensive. My turbo car loves the race grade octane E85 brings 5psi more boost than 93 octane which is nearly 5 bucks a gallon. The V8 ecoboost in my truck also loves the E85 it’s got the yellow gas cap too. It’s mileage drops 22% so the break even price point is 22% under E10 it can use 87 octane the Volvo cannot it must use 93
