Wyoming does NOT HAVE a gun homicide problem, with a rate of only 1.4 per 100,000–actually lower than right across the border in more gun-controlled Canada– and only about a third of that of the nation as a whole.I suppose that it would also be racist to note that Wyoming has two significant minority populations-- Native Americans and Basque. Muslims? Not so many.

Appalachia has a poverty problem, but it doesn't have a violent crime problem.
