There have been numerous articles written stating that P. is a genuine TEA Party and Trump supporter who is nothing like H.W., W., or Yeb! But, he is suffering from his last name which is Anathema to true Conservatives and President Trump’s base.
I don’t know whether or not this is true. I don’t live in Texas and don’t know much about the guy. But, if those articles are factual I feel for the guy.

I do too, but it is what it is. Dynasties need to die. Perhaps George P was a casualty. He’ll do fine in the private sector.

>>P. is a genuine TEA Party and Trump supporter who is nothing like H.W., W., or Yeb!<<

The Bush family are not native Texans. George P. was being groomed for a run as governor one day. Folks here see right through it.

Another Bush ran for a U.S. House seat a couple of years ago down round Sugarland Texas area. Pierce Bush. He lost.

Texans are wore out by the whole Bush dynasty thing. Wish they’d move out of Texas.

George P. is NOT a conservative by any measure. If he were, we’d hear about it from the left. And Travis County wouldn’t have voted for him.

I too neither live in TX nor know much about him but since we don’t have a caste system in the US I won’t hold his ancestry against him.

But if he changed his name, things would be worse for him. That is his dilemma.

I live in TX and couldn’t wait to vote against P. He talks s good game but he’s a typical Bush.. He had an ad with border patrol agents from an organization that is affiliated with the AFL-CIO with HQ in D.C.
He wasn’t qualified to be AG., IMO.

If the city of Austin votes for you, then you can bet you’re not a conservative.

P is unlike his uncle W and his father Yebby in that he is a nasty twit. We here in Texas were treated to nasty television ads approved by P maligning Paxton. Simply stated we do not need an AG who rejects the concept that a person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

I am an elderly transplant from Connecticut. Prescott Bush was trustworthy. George H.W. Bush was trustworthy. George W. Bush was pretty much trustworthy. J.E.B. Bush was somewhat trustworthy. George P. Bush is not at all trustworthy.

It has been hard over the years to figure out who is a real conservative and who is pretending when they don't have much of a track record. That is becoming a lot easier than it used to be. One reason is because of Trump. The GOP has to some extent divided into two teams, the Trump side and the anti-Trump side. You can look for clues such as who the anti-Trumpers are associating with, who the corporations like etc.

In P.'s case he couldn't avoid being associated with his own family, but we could look at things like who were his consultants or who people on his staff were associated with.
