I agree with the Archbishop, however I don’t understand him making it public. Wouldn’t this be between Pelosi and her priest? Why don’t we just publish all names of those who are not worthy to receive communion this week?
Her public statements require a public response, so other Catholics are warned of the deadly path they are on.

Because not only is she a prominent public figure, she is flaunting her professed faith. Not only that, she is publicly castigating the doctrine of her supposed faith.
The Archbishop is addressing that.
I had read elsewhere that he had been trying to get an audience with Herself and she has gone out of her way to avoid him. Going public was a last resort.
Because it is necessary to inform all the priests, deacons, and Eucharistic ministers in the diocese to withhold Communion from Pelosi, the Archbishop’s decision is public by definition.
