The Fed is like a country dog in the city. If they stand still, they get screwed. If they run, they get bit in the ass. Raising interest rates going in to a recession is disastrous for the economy. But if they don't then inflation will continue to rise.

This bodes il for Demwits...

“Raising interest rates going in to a recession is disastrous for the economy. But if they don’t then inflation will continue to rise.”

Trump proved inflation not controlled by fed interest rates.

I don’t think people are panicking over today’s news. However, NASDAQ off 30% from all time high. S&P off 20%. Not good. Bonds off 11%-20%. Many retirees getting hit hard. MOST account holders as well.

Up 100% in five years.

Up 300% in ten years.

VERY good for retirees.

4%? I don't think so. You might want to consider changing your user name. :)

For those who cashed out, in time.

Did you?

That was a quote from the article. I put in my comments that by the time I posted to FR the market was barely green.

NVIDIA down after hours after bad quarter. They are going to drag the tech sector down tomorrow.
AMD had a excellent quarter result on May 3rd.
