More than a dozen gunmen shot dead 11 people — including eight women — at a Mexican hotel and its two bars in a massacre being linked to cartel warfare, according to authorities and reports.
The coordinated attacks in the central Mexican city of Celaya saw more than 50 shots fired in an ambush that lasted less than a minute, witnesses told local TV station Telemundo 20.
Some of the estimated 15 hooded gunmen also lobbed Molotov cocktails in the bars, with one of the establishments badly burned.
Disturbing photos on social media showed women heaped in pools of blood between tables, with one body on the sidewalk.
Seven women and three men were pronounced dead at the scene, and an eleventh victim — another woman — later died in a hospital, according to security and government officials. As many as five others were injured, local reports said.
Pieces of cardboard with messages “alluding to a criminal group” were found at the scene, local security officials said in a statement.

Guess I will take Mexico off my list of potential expat countries to retire to.
someone ordered the wrong shots...
Coming soon to a country near you.
Looks the the massacres are happening here too. The US is becoming Mexico. I wonder why... I wonder why...
“Guess I will take Mexico off my list of potential expat countries to retire to.”
If you love your country, don’t desert it.
SO?...
That’s impossible! Only America has random mass shootings! /s
Seeing as to what the US is devolving into, not sure I want to remain unless we can turn things around. Let’s see how you feel if the Dems manage to steal another election, and what little push back they receive.
Look what they did to the Jan 6 protesters, then tell me how proud you are of this country. How many Republican politicians even dared sticking up for them? I will always have a sentimental attachment to what the US once was, but I’m not blind enough to pretend it still resembles that image.
So if things devolve further, I’ll leave. I’m too old and too tired to do anything more than complain on an internet forum, and have no intention of sticking around when the US becomes a police state that the globalists intend for us.
“Look what they did to the Jan 6 protesters, then tell me how proud you are of this country.”
You dumb ass! The country isn’t its government; the country is its founding principles, its traditions, its beliefs. The country is your family, your friends, your neighbors. Governments come and go. And we SURVIVE them!
In Mexico they are planned out paramilitary raids by cartels. They even have bomb-dropping drones to target rival cartels. And Brandon is making them a lot of money!
Oh, wait, it's Mexico, where all guns are outlawed except .22LR, all all carry (open or concealed) is banned.
nEvEr MiNd.
In case you haven’t noticed we’ve already lost many of these “founding principles, its traditions, its beliefs”. I’ll stick around until at least November to see if the Republicans can turn things back around, but if not, well then it’s adios. I don’t need any further aggravation with the endless cultural wars going n here, and prefer to spend my twilight years in a more peaceful and conducive environment. Let those younger than me deal with it, it’s their future at stake not mine.
Has Meathead blamed the Republicans for these killings too?
I’m with ya Jim. Kinda glad I won’t be here to see it all go. I am in my sixties and I don’t even recognize my country anymore. Sad really.
Good times!
Yes
I’ve been considering the Azores and also Croatia for my retirement years. Not so sure about the volcanic nature of the Azores.
I think Quentin Tarantino was there.
I understand your frustration. And I agree that at times it feels like a kick to the gut to see what corrupt and selfish and deceitful politicians have done to this country. But don’t give up the fight. If you give up, they have won!
