Lissen.....I still think the world of State Farm, who we have had for ALL our insurance needs for more than 20 years. SO MANY of their programs are great, and designed to save you money, like the little remote thingie you can keep in your console or glovebox to monitor your driving speed, and careless driving, like too often veering into the other lane. You actually get refunds based on good driving, and they really amount to something. I think for our three cars it’s amounted to several hundred $$ at least for the past year. I am surprised that they relented and agreed to this idiot program. Gratified that they scrapped it. Obviously they heard from their policy-holders.
My wife had State farm insurance for 50 years and they drilled us hard when we made a claim of our house fire.
11 months of hell and cancelled us while they were still fixing the house. I hate them.
Using State Farm for car insurance has been a “family tradition” with us since my grandfather insured his then brand new 1954 Chevy Bel Air with them. They offer pretty good classic car insurance as well, got the 64 Chevy on an agreed value policy. The only stipulation is that it’s parked in a locked garage, which I do anyway, especially with the insane FL sunshine. Glad to see them drop this stupidity.
The “little remote thingie” you welcomed into your life under the pretext of saving a couple of bucks is called Big Brother.
And the incriminating information you voluntarily collect for them can be supoenaed and used against you in a court of law.
Stomp the “thingie” and dump the groomers.
I’m stunned. Are you being facetious?
