I dare. I didn’t trust our CIA in Ukraine. I don’t trust Hunter Biden. I don’t trust the people who impeached Trump. I don’t trust the billions of dollars that go to Ukraine and disappear. I don’t trust that the Russians are in the wrong, and that the Ukrainians are in the right. I know two forces are fighting. And I don’t like either one of them. The Russian government may be bad, but that does not make our government or the Ukrainian government good. Two bad forces can fight each other. We don’t have to pick sides or support either one.

“the Russian General Staff devoted most of its available resources in Eastern Ukraine to this part of the front”

So the Ukrainians can probably push at any other point of the front now and achieve a breakthrough. Just because you are “winning” at one point doesn’t mean you haven’t made a serious blunder.

This is old news...Popasnaya was taken at least a week ago, and the Russians have moved on from there. Expect Krasny Liman and Svetlodarsk to fall shortly, while the encirclement of the main Ukr army at Severodonetsk continues.

The problem for Putin is that even if a few thousand Ukrainian troops are encircled (and that’s a big if) what difference would it make?

Ukraine is mobilizing a force of two million. Supplied by foreign grants that are larger than the entire Russian military budget. Long term Russia has no path to victory.

The question now is how far do the Russians go?

Originally, I said that when they invaded the way they did that they bit off more than they could chew. Which happened.

I always thought that they would try and take from Kharkiv to Dnipro and take that part of the country along that line and south to the Dneiper river as the western line.

It appears they have set their sites on the line cross that river in the south and taking Odessa and connecting to the east Moldova region that favors Russia. This portion of the plan I cant see them as being successful. I can see them being successful on the former.

“Putin errs when he claims the dissolution of the USSR was the biggest geopolitical disaster of the 20th century. The Russian Revolution of 1917 holds that distinction.”

Absolutely!

Your war channels are lying to you daily. You get nothing from the front lines but only make up stories and propaganda are the DC/NY run channels.

Just watch for a couple of hours. It’s the deep state running the networks.... including Fox

Lenin was a communist first, and a Russian second (or maybe third).

“Ukraine is mobilizing a force of two million.”

Yup—The tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and his elves riding on Unicorns are currently being trained for the counter-attack.

;-)

"This week, retired colonel Mikhail Khodarenok appeared on prime-time national TV in Russia to offer a bleak assessment of the prospects for the Kremlin’s war in Ukraine. In his appearance in the May 16 episode of the Rossiya channel’s “60 Minutes” talk show, the former senior officer of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces urged his compatriots not to believe that the Ukrainian army is crumbling and predicted a deterioration of the situation for the Russian military. Khodarenok’s grim warnings grabbed the attention of multiple Western media, primarily because they were made on state TV, whose news and analysis coverage Putin’s administration relentlessly micro-manages. What some of this reporting on Khodarenok’s remarks is missing, however, is that his predictions of a difficult war in Ukraine are not exactly new. Khodarenok can be commended for being one of the few Russian experts to publicly warn in the weeks before the war that the invasion would not be a walk in the park for his country’s armed forces, to put it mildly."

"In his May 16 appearance Khodarenok urged viewers not to swallow “informational sedatives,” such as “claims of moral and psychological breakdown among the Ukrainian armed forces.” “The desire to defend your motherland … really exists there [in Ukraine]; they intend to fight to the last,” he said. Khodarenok warned that Ukraine can mobilize a one-million-strong fighting force and that ability must be part of Moscow’s strategic calculations. Russia needs to extricate itself from its “geopolitical isolation,” which cannot be fully offset by the “not exactly unconditional” support of China and India. “The situation is not normal,” he said, “when a coalition of 42 countries has gathered against us, while our resources, both military-political and military-technical, are after all limited.” “The situation will frankly get worse for us,” Khodarenok warned."

Breakthrough occurred days ago. Front has been static since. Not enough troops available for Russian to exploit it. As they captured the villages around Popasnya, they had to spread their forces out, vitiating their momentum.

Sixty Minutes has been Deep State propaganda for decades.

It is like getting a broadcast from the disinformation directorate in the basement of the CIA.
