If it is the outcome, the outcome will be the result of different factors and this will be one of them. I don't think we or the Ukraine have the power or the will to force an absolute defeat on the Russians. The best hope is for a negotiated peace.
What Kissinger said is framed by critics as a "Don't hurt Russia's feelings" comment, but I think it has more to do with not leaving behind a more chaotic and dangerous situation in the region.

but most discussion on this topic anywhere, including here, is all emotions.
we have been subjected to an enormous propaganda push on this since early this year. it should be sobering to see how many people on a website which more or less distrusts all network news are influenced by it.
