Beyond the marquee races for governor and U.S. Senate, several statewide officials are battling to keep their offices in primary elections that will be decided Tuesday in Georgia.

Georgia's incumbent attorney general and insurance commissioner both face fellow Republicans endorsed by former President Donald Trump, who also picked a favorite in the open race for lieutenant governor. Meanwhile, the Republican state school superintendent is being opposed by his predecessor.

A look at some key down-ballot races in the Georgia primaries.

On Tuesday it's likely Brian Kemp will win the primary, and it looks like Brad Raffensperger will be forced into a runoff (which he will hopefully lose).

But keep an eye on the downballot races.

Trump is proving to be more powerful out of office then as President. He has turned into the king maker in state and local voting. His endorsement record is very impressive.

I know John King, the incumbent Insurance Commissioner, reasonably well and believe him to be a solid guy. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water just because he was initial placed in office by Kemp after the former Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine was removed for health care fraud.

John King gets my vote on Tuesday.

Citizens Free Press has this video about down ballot races in Idaho and other states. We need to get rid of the RINO’s in the state legislatures so we have some MAGA bench strength to run for US Senator and House of Representatives.

I’ve been getting expensive mailers from Raffensperger and Carr, and if you didn’t know better, you’d think they were the good guys.

They’re all about ‘election integrity’ and blah, blah, blah.

It’s frustrating that some voters will be fooled by this.
