Youngsters and oldsters should NOT put down their phones to birdwatch. Put the “MERLIN” app on your phone and open up a whole new experience in bird watching. I just started using it about ten days ago. And I’ve been birding since 1985.

Why does NPR capitalize Black and not capitalize white? Perhaps puffins should be capitalized, while parrots are not.

At the risk of giving these racists an idea, perhaps Christian Cooper can be capitalized while amy cooper can be lower cased.

You miss my point entirely. Im familiare with Merlin. It’s often wrong. It’s also a shame that it’s one more technology that make us stupid and lazy. Having to think is not a bad thing.
