I happened to catch a few minutes of Erick Erickson on his radio show the other day. As I reached to change the station I heard him mention Herschel Walker, so I paused to listen what he had to say. He spent five minutes vilifying Walker. Not because of any of Walker’s policies, but because he thought Walker was stupid and couldn’t speak eloquently. Those weren’t his exact words, but that’s basically what he was saying. It was simply awful. With “Republicans” such as Erickson, why do we need democrats? The GOPe is so good at shooting itself in the foot.
Cool, someone else has noticed. First, I have no idea who this fool is other than I have seen or heard his name somewhere previously until this week when I started reading an article posted here that had been written by him.
I wasn’t finished with the first paragraph and I thought I was reading something from the Lincoln Project or Billy Kristol. I stopped reading and was about to admonish the poster for his stupidity, but I remembered I needed to trim my nose hairs.
Erick Erickson is not a politician. He’s a radio host, so it doesn’t matter what party he belongs to, and f he even belongs to a party.

Anyone that runs for public office must be able to speak effectively. It is part of their job description and represent minimum requirements in my book. If they can’t do that it is fair game to criticize them.
However those criticisms don’t apply to Herschel Walker IMO. He seems to communicate OK.
I didn’t hear what Erick said but I suspect his problem with Herschel lies elsewhere and he was just using that as an excuse.
I heard that Walker was the Valedictorian of his High School Senior class - he is no dummy.
